Definition: Agile Software

(1) Agile software is computer software which has the characteristic of software agility, enabling the software to readily cope with structural changes in its computational environment without external intervention.

(2) Agile software is computer software which can be easily modified and re-deployed to cope with structural changes in its computational environment.

It is highly preferable for a software agent to be based on agile software (1).
