Definition: Agent-Oriented Tools

(1) Agent-oriented tools are software tools that are used to develop and support software  in which at least one component exhibits the characteristics associated with a software agent.

(2) Agent-oriented tools are software tools that themselves exhibit the characteristics associated with a software agent.
