Definition: Computation

A computation is a model for the access, manipulation, and generation of information that can be analyzed and prepared for execution on one or more computer programs, computer processes, computer processors, or computer systems, possibly connected over a computer network and involves the interaction of one or more computational entities, possibly organized as computational coalitions.
