Definition: Distributed Emergent Computing

By Jack Krupansky

Distributed emergent computing is computation that occurs on geographically and organizationally diverse overlay networks that enable on-the-fly computing arrangements that the original system designers could not have even imagined.

Can be shortened as emergent computing.

Alternatively, a synonym for evolutionary computing.
